Persephone National Park About Persephone

The Storyof Persephone

Persephone National Park was commissioned in 2016, with the help of the Department of the Interior and the National Parks Service, after Cobalt Industries abandoned their facilities on the whole of the island. We began building a new adventure for our visitors, constructing recreational facilities, accommodations, and more.

Shortly after we opened to the public, there was an incident at our primary nuclear power facility, due to gross negligence with regard to the maintenance protocol. This event resulted in a full scale Level 3 meltdown, as described by the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale (INES), denoting it as a "catastrophic event." There was an immediate quarantine and evacuation in order to conduct an assessment of the crisis.

In 2018, our administrative and support staff were allowed to return to the island, after its status was finally declared "suitable for life." In the course of the cleanup and analysis, the administration enlisted the help of Cobalt Industries once again and they maintain a presence on the island to this day.

Since our return, we've been committed to the experience within our park and the enjoyment of what is has to offer by our visitors. Those looking for the ultimate adventure — individuals seeking a true survival experience in the wild — will thrive in Persephone.

Persephone National Park is a whitelist PVE Rust server focused on the environmental and survival aspects of Rust, immersive gameplay, a respectful community, and creative exploration.
